About Opportunity

The internationally recognized Women Photographers International Archive (WOPHA) is now accepting applications for its 2025 Artists Residency Program, inviting emerging and mid-career women and non-binary artists working in photography and visual culture to participate. This prestigious residency offers a unique opportunity for artists to develop their creative practice within Miami’s vibrant cultural landscape while engaging with a dynamic network of peers and professionals. Scheduled to take place in September 2025, the residency is hosted in collaboration with El Espacio 23, a renowned contemporary art space founded by collector and philanthropist Jorge M. Pérez. Over the course of the program, selected artists will have the chance to immerse themselves in an environment that fosters artistic exploration, critical discourse, and cross-cultural exchange. A key highlight of the residency is a group exhibition at Green Space Miami, a prominent contemporary art venue that serves as a platform for participants to present their work to new audiences and expand their professional reach. An international selection committee will carefully review applications, evaluating artists based on the strength of their portfolios and their artistic experience. Those chosen for the residency will receive financial support, including a $2,500 stipend to cover material costs, ground transportation, and meals, along with an additional $3,000 for exhibition production expenses.
