About Opportunity

The US-based organization TILT Institute for the Contemporary Image invites international and local artists to participate in its annual Artists-in-Residency Program. Individuals enrolled in an academic program at the time of their residency are not eligible to participate. TILT Institute particularly seeks talented, self-directed, committed artists of all levels who are advanced in contemporary photography. Each individual residency program will last for 4 weeks, during the periods of September to November 2024 or January to June 2025. The selection committee will choose 4 artists, 2 local and 2 international, and provide them with accommodation, a working art studio, and an artistic allowance.

About Organizer

The TILT Institute for the Contemporary Image, originally known as the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center, was founded in 2009 in Philadelphia, US. TILT supports contemporary photographers and image makers of all levels by providing a space for learning, networking, creating, and engaging in socially conscious dialogue. This is achieved through exhibitions, fully-funded programs, artist residencies, youth education, and classes.
