About Opportunity
The internationally recognized, U.S.-based Society of Architectural Historians (SAH) organizes annual research fellowship programs to support scholarly work in the field of architectural history. This year, SAH is accepting applications for the SAH IDEAS Research Fellowship, which invites emerging scholars who self-identify as members of groups historically marginalized within the discipline and academia. Established to foster innovative and paradigm-challenging research, the fellowship offers funding and mentorship to projects that highlight under-recognized perspectives and expand the boundaries of architectural history. Eligible applicants must hold a terminal master’s degree or Ph.D. and must not be currently enrolled in an academic program. Applicants are required to submit a detailed statement of interest, outlining the goals and significance of their proposed research. Selected fellows will receive a one-time award of $1,000 and participate in a year-long mentorship program, culminating in the submission of a final version of their project.
