About Opportunity

In commemoration of it's 125th Anniversary Year, the Pastel Society invites artists worldwide to participate in its 125th annual exhibition. This prestigious event welcomes all forms of pastels soft pastels, hard pastels, oil pastels, ink pastels, water-based pastels, or other dry mediums. The selection committee is formed by Pastel Society member artists. The committee will select the best artworks and curate the exhibition. The artists will have the chance to be honored in various prize categories for their outstanding contributions.

About Organizer

The Pastel Society is a charity art organization founded in 1986 in London, UK, which empowers contemporary art through workshops and exhibitions.
The Federation of British Artists manages the Mall Galleries, which opened in 1961 in London, UK. The gallery encourages artists through various initiatives, such as exhibitions, calls and awards.

Eligibility:

  • All emerging and professional visual artists over the age of 18 from across the globe can apply


Project/event location:

Participation fee:

  • An artwork submission fee is -  £20


Award/prize: 

  • The Tom Coates Memorial Prize - £2,000

  • The President's Prize for an artist under 35

  • Exhibition at the Pastel Society annual exhibition 2024

  • Artworks on sale (min. Price - £400)
