About Opportunity
The internationally recognized Jan Michalski Foundation is accepting applications from literary writers and translators around the world for its 2025 Residency Program in Montricher, Switzerland. Open to all forms of writing and languages, the program prioritizes literary writers and translators. Residencies are available for individuals or pairs working on multidisciplinary projects. The residencies focus on nature writing, which includes fiction or creative non-fiction that emphasizes the importance of nature and promotes sustainable living. Residents will stay in one of the seven cabins for durations ranging from two weeks to three months. An international jury will evaluate applications based on three criteria: the literary quality of the project, the candidate’s professional background, and whether the proposed length of stay aligns with the project's scope.
About Organizer
The Jan Michalski Foundation was founded in 2004 by Vera Michalski-Hoffmann. Its residency program for writers is designed to offer a conducive environment for literary creation and to support those dedicated to the written word.
