About Opportunity
International Institute of Social History and Amsterdam-based archives, museums, and historical institutes, with the support of the Insinger Foundation, are accepting applications for a five-year program that offers three two-month fellowships per year for international professional curators, archivists, and historians in the field of slavery history. This program focuses on the history of slavery connected to Dutch involvement in the Atlantic, Indian Ocean, and Indonesian archipelago slave trade and labor. The international selection committee will choose up to three fellows for each season (Fall and Spring) and provide them with travel expenses, a monthly allowance, and accommodation at the International Institute of Social History. After completing this two-month program, fellows will be required to present their gained experiences and conducted projects to their international colleagues.
