About Opportunity

The International network for contemporary performing arts, IETM, has opened a submission call for professional artists worldwide to participate in a five-year art program called Global Connect 2025. The selection process is overseen by an invited jury. They will evaluate performing artists based on their CV and working experience. Applicants are supposed to demonstrate an inclusive mindset, eco-responsibility, and a commitment to international collaborations that benefit their local communities. Those chosen as Global Connectors will receive a complimentary individual IETM membership for five years. This membership grants them full access to all benefits offered to IETM members.

About Organizer

Established in 1981, IETM (International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts) is a highly influential organization that unites members from various genres and roles within the performing arts ecosystem. With over 500 organizations and individual members spanning more than 60 countries, IETM is instrumental in enhancing the quality, development, and contextual understanding of contemporary performing arts in all its forms. The network is committed to advocating for the value of arts and culture while empowering professionals in the sector.
Launched in 2022 by IETM Associate Members, Global Connect seeks to foster international connections and opportunities within the performing arts community.

Eligibility:

  • All contemporary performing artists, managers and innovators, with minimum of 5 years working experience, across the globe can participate

Project/event location:

  • Sofia, Bulgaria 

Participation fee:

  • Participation is free of charge

Award/prize: 

  • Five years IETM Membership

  • Participation in online sessions 

  • Attending - IETM Sofia Plenary Meeting 2025

  • Funding travel and accommodation expenses for IETM Sofia Plenary Meeting 2025

Application requirements:

  • Online application in English

  • Motivation letter (how the IETM membership will impact the career and personal development of the applicant over the next five years)

  • Artist statement

  • CV/Portfolio

  • Personal information

  • Applicants should be able to communicate proficiently in English

  • Applicants should be able to travel to Europe for the IETM Plenary Meeting
