About Opportunity

The internationally recognized US-based institution, The Factory on Willow, is accepting applications from emerging artists worldwide for its 3-month Artist-in-Residency Program. Applicants are invited to submit project ideas they plan to pursue during their residency. The Factory’s AIR program offers selected artists a studio apartment and workspace, along with the chance to exhibit their artwork at the end of the residency in a solo or duo exhibition.

About Organizer

The Factory on Willow is a multifunctional center established in 1904 in Manchester, NH. It serves as a mixed-use residential and commercial property, annually hosting six artists from around the globe. The organization's mission is to support both local and international artists in their career development.

Details

 

This program runs three times a year:

  • Session 1: March - May

  • Session 2: June - August

  • Session 3: September - November

 

Eligibility:

  • Emerging artists from around the world, who can stay in the US for the full 12-week residency period, are eligible to apply


Project/event location:

  • Manchester is New Hampshire, US


Participation fee:

  • Participation is free


Award/prize: 

  • Accommodation 

  • Working art studio

  • Travel grant - $350

  • Artist stipend - $1,600

  • Exhibition after residency
