About Opportunity

The internationally recognized association Eyes Wide Open, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and SAIF in France, has launched the 1st Photo Book Grants program for both international and local photographers seeking to publish their first photo book in collaboration with an independent French publisher. The Eyes Wide Open 1st Photo Book Grants will support three book projects, each led by a photographer and their publisher, with a grant of €5,000 per project. Applicants must submit a detailed project description along with a letter of commitment from an independent French publisher. An international selection committee will evaluate the submissions and award grants in three distinct categories. Recipients must produce at least 500 copies of their book, which will be distributed in bookstores. Additionally, the book must include a contract for author’s rights between the photographer and the publisher.
