About Opportunity
The Don Bachardy Fellowship at the Royal Drawing School welcomes applications from international postgraduate artists based outside the United Kingdom. The program will run during the Royal Drawing School’s Summer Term, from April 28 to July 5, 2025. Over the course of ten weeks, the Fellow will spend three days a week drawing alongside postgraduate and Public Programme students. With guidance from a faculty of over 75 practicing artists, the Fellow can personalize their experience by choosing from more than 60 courses, including life drawing, outdoor sketching, museum studies, and intaglio printmaking. Applications will be reviewed by an international jury based on the applicant's clarity of artistic vision, dedication to their practice, and evidence of professional-level work. The jury will also consider the residency's potential to advance the artist's project and the applicant’s readiness to engage with an urban creative environment. Preference may be given to U.S.-based artists.
