The Catapult Film Fund, an international non-profit organization based in the United States, established the Catapult Development Fund (Grant) in 2010. This initiative is committed to providing essential early-stage funding and mentorship to nonfiction filmmakers, enabling them to create unique, narrative-driven, and visually captivating films.
Catapult provides research and development funding to documentary filmmakers who have a meaningful story to tell, and are prepared to produce visual samples to attract further production support.

Documentaries must be in development or early production with an intended length of 28 minutes or longer.

A fiscal sponsor is not required to apply but if selected, must be confirmed that grantees must have a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor to officially accept the award
