About Opportunity

The internationally recognized Klondike Institute of Art & Culture (KIAC) at Dënäkär Zho invites proposals from two visual artists and curators across all disciplines for its Artist in Residence Program, taking place in Dawson City, Canada, with a duration of 4-12 weeks. Artists working in any medium—including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, design, architecture, photography, performing arts, and filmmaking—are encouraged to apply. The residency can be used for research, development, or the production of new or ongoing work. During their stay, artists are expected to hold at least one public artist talk or open studio event and may have opportunities to lead outreach activities, such as workshops or exhibitions. This program is best suited to projects that do not require specialized equipment. An international selection committee will review applications to select candidates, providing each with accommodation and a working art studio.
