About Opportunity

The international art organization, Master Drawing, is accepting submissions for its 6th annual Ricciardi Prize from writers or scholars in any discipline. In this art competition applicants should submit articles on any topic. The selection committee will choose the best new and unpublished article and award its author a cash prize of $5,000.

About Organizer

The Master Drawings Association is a non-profit organization founded in New York State in 1962. The magazine is primarily focused on with the publication of newly discovered materials, important re-attributions and new interpretations. 

With the aim to support scholars’ and writers’ and to promote their manuscripts, the Master Drawings Association annually announces a call for the Ricciardi Prize.

Eligibility:

  • All scholars and writers under the age of 40 can participate

Application requirements:

  • Online application form

  • CV/resume

  • Artist statement

  • Article should be written in English in an article form

  • The average length is between 2,500 and 3,750 words, with five to twenty illustrations.

  • Article should be written in Microsoft Word format; images should be sent in separate .jpg or .tiff files
