The 2024 21st Animateka International Animated Film Festival is accepting submissions

The internationally recognized organization The 2 Reels - Association for Reanimation of Storytelling is accepting submissions for the 21st edition of Animateka International Animated Film Festival 2024, which will take place in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from December 2 to 8, 2024. The festival includes special presentations, a program for industry professionals, and various competition programs, such as the Main Competition Program (short animated films produced in Central, Southern, and Eastern Europe), the Elephant Competition Program (international short animated films for children), the Young Talents of Europe Competition Program (short student animated films), and the VR@ANIMATEKA competition program (animated VR works). Applicants are required to submit short animated films (no longer than 30 minutes). An invited international jury will select the winners in different categories and award them with the special Jury Grand Prix prize.

The 2 Reels - Association for Reanimation of Storytelling was founded in 2007 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, with the aim of cultivating and promoting storytelling in all its forms.
Animateka is an international festival dedicated to showcasing high-quality, original animated films. Each December, it features three competition programs that highlight the finest short animated film productions from Central and Eastern Europe.
