About Opportunity

The German-based international Sonntag Grant for Photography competition is accepting applications for its inaugural 2026 edition, offering a €3,000 grant to support FLINTA artists (female, lesbian, inter, non-binary, trans, agender). This year’s call features an open theme and accepts a wide range of photographic media. Projects may be documentary, staged, experimental, or a combination of these approaches, and both new and ongoing work are welcome. An international selection committee will evaluate submissions through a two-step process, assessing the clarity of the idea, strength of visual language, potential for development, and originality of perspective. Based on this review, the committee will select one project to receive the €3,000 grant.

About Organizer

The Sonntag grant was launched in 2025 and based in Berlin, this annual photography grant aims at supporting FLINTA artists (female, lesbian, inter, non-binary, trans, agender).
Each year, one artist receives a €3,000 award to support the development of a project, providing time, resources, and space to pursue new or ongoing work. The program aims to highlight artists whose practice engages with the world in thoughtful, critical, or imaginative ways.
