About Opportunity

The international organization, Kunstraum Lakeside, invites artists and curators from all over the world to participate in its 2024-25 solo exhibition. The organization seeks projects that are related to Kunstraum’s annual theme, "Glitch". The exhibition delves into various modes of representation in visual arts within an institution that intersects art, science, and technology. The selection committee will choose the best artistic ideas and exhibition projects, and provide support for artists' production costs.

Kunstraum Lakeside is an international organization, based in Austria. It serves as a platform for the creation and exhibition of contemporary art from around the world, intending to stimulate critical dialogue on economic aspects relevant to society.

This year’s jury includes:

Eligibility:

  • Both emerging and professional artists, working in different artistic medium, from all over the world,  can apply for this exhibition

Project/event location:

  • Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, Austria

Participation fee:

  • Participation is free of charge

Award/prize: 

  • Solo exhibition at Kunstraum Lakeside

  • Artist fee - €1,200

  • Production costs (including transports of artworks) - €1,500

Application requirements:

  • CV/portfolio

  • Description of the solo exhibition, including the thematic reference to the annual theme “Glitch” (no longer than one A4 page)

  • Spatial and visual presentation of the planned project as well as technical description (sketches, plans, lists of works or visualizations)

  • Project budget

  • All documents in a single PDF file should be send on the email: office@lakeside-kunstraum.at 

The submission closes:

  • 10 March, 2024

Selected applicants will be announced:

  • April, 2024
