About Opportunity

The Summer School in Curatorial Studies is an intensive English-language program that teaches the history of modern visual arts as well as the process of developing an exhibition for the Venice Biennale. The course gives hands-on instruction and experience in museum activities and exhibitions through multidisciplinary lectures. The course is taught by a faculty of foreign specialists. The course is designed to provide students with an understanding of the intellectual and technical challenges that curators may confront while preparing exhibits and projects. The lectures cover both academic and practical themes, spanning from exhibition history through exhibition management. Students will have the option to engage in weekly activities such as visits to art studios, exhibition space tours, networking events, and workshops with a range of experts and practitioners throughout the semester. The course culminates with a final event or showcase.
