About Opportunity
The Lisbon Architecture Triennial will offer its debut prize to an architect or practitioner for the fourth time this year to recognize their achievements and contribute to their professional development.
An international jury will consider both solo and group applications.
The organizers of the Début Award hope to foster new sounds and forms of architectural activity with this new edition. The association expects that the prize will help these writers' intellectual and professional progress at a vital and transformative point in their careers.
About Organizer
The Lisbon Architecture Triennial is a non-profit organization dedicated to researching, developing, and promoting architectural thought and practice. Every three years, the association hosts a forum to debate, discuss, and promote architecture, and via this forum, the association spans geographical and disciplinary borders.

Who can Participate:
The competition is open to architects under the age of 35 or any middle-aged architectural office until February 28, 2022. Only one application per applicant will be allowed.
In the case of group applications, it is essential that the group of architects work together regularly and that at least 2/3 of the group members are involved in the implementation of each project submitted for the application. In the case of an individual application, the submitted projects should be completed only by the applicant.

Application Details:
Applicants must submit the following documents:
- Application Form;
- Artist Statement;
- Letter of Reference;
- Presentation.
Award/Prize:
- The main prize of € 10,000 will be awarded to the winning architect or studio;
- A shortlist of 10 architects/studios will also be honoured;
- Accommodation for one person during the conference period;
- The Lisbon Architecture Triennial will host a conference with the Debut Award winner taking place in the Portuguese capital during the opening days (September 29, 2022, to October 1, 2022);
- Conference travel expenses will be reimbursed per person.
