About Opportunity
The Covid epidemic was the core subject of the Changing World 2020 competition.
However, when the focus shifts to 2021 and entrants are allowed to show a larger picture of events, the events portrayed in the photograph can express both clear and decisive changes in people's lives, as well as post-COVID realities throughout the world and major events this year.
The competition's goal is to exhibit and debate the most essential factors of social and political processes, as well as personal stories produced against this background.
About Organizer
The Russian news agency TASS is hosting the second edition of the News Photo Awards, a worldwide competition for professional press photographers. Approximately 4,000 photographs were contributed from 84 countries by professional news photographers throughout this time period.

The News Photo Awards - A Changing World is an international competition for professional news photographers who work for or with a range of media outlets.

To apply for the competition, the applicant needs to upload:
- Application Form;
- Portfolio;
- Short Description of the work.
Prize/Award:
The winners will be announced in four categories:
- News;
- People and lifestyle;
- Health care;
- Environment.
Each category will have two winning photographers (Best Photo and Best Photo Series nominations). The winner of each nomination category will get a $ 3,000 cash reward.
The competition's Grand Prize is a cash prize of $10,000 awarded to one winner.
