About Opportunity

The international organization, ARCUS, launches its 2024 ARCUS Project IBARAKI Artist-in-Residence Program and provides opportunities for international artists in the field of contemporary art to cultivate their artistic creativity and vision. The residency program is scheduled for August 30 - November 27, 2024 (90 days). The program gives special attention to research-based methods and showcases the initial outcomes of these processes during open studio sessions. Dedicated support is offered through a committed team and regular tutorials with a curator. This support enables artists to explore new approaches, tackle challenges, and enhance their artistic expression. The selection committee will choose a total of four - five artists based on their artistic experience and provide them with a working art studio and accommodation for the entire residency period.
