The ARCUS Project, established by the Ibaraki Prefecture Government and headquartered in Moriya City, Japan since 1994, serves as an art and culture initiative aimed at fostering regional development through the arts.
The Artist-in-Residence Program welcomes emerging and internationally recognized contemporary artists for a fixed-term residency, providing support for their creative endeavors and nurturing high-quality artistic talent

Eligibility:

Both emerging and professional artists engaged in contemporary visual arts or other related fields, individually or in groups/collectives, from all over the world, who are able to enter and stay in Japan legally, can apply for this residency program

Participation fee:

Registration is free, but in case of selection, artists are required to pay fee of 3,500JPY (€22)
Award/prize:

Accommodation and travel expenses are covered by the organization
