About Opportunity

Applications for the Perform Europe Grant - Giving first step call are open now, The project's goal is to find organizations and artists who have bold and courageous visions and ideas about how to innovate cross-border touring and distribution in a truly fair, inclusive, ecological, and human-centered way. The project will last 18 months and will include a research phase, the launch of a digital platform, the testing of a support scheme, and the development of policy recommendations.

Perform Europe is an EU-funded project which aims to rethink cross-border performing arts presentation in the 40 countries of Creative Europe and the UK in a more inclusive, sustainable, and balanced manner.

Who can participate: 

  • producers/presenters: have an artistic work or artistic initiatives they would like to bring to other countries – physically, digitally or in a mixed way,
  • people who are based in one of the Creative Europe countries, in the United Kingdom;

First step - Applicants, selected in this step, will be invited to join two events, providing space for mentorship, pitching ideas, and sharing best practices of more sustainable and inclusive touring practices. 

Second step - applicants selected in step 1 will shape partnerships among each other, co-create touring and distribution proposals and apply for Perform Europe grants. 

Timeliness/Deadlines:

Online application process deadline – 7 July, 2021

Prize/Award:

The total budget available is € 1,5 million; 

grant amounts will range from €10,000 to €100,000.
