The Salzburger Kunstvereinwas established in 1844 and stands as one of Austria's oldest and most esteemed art associations focused on contemporary art. Located in the historic Künstlerhaus in the city, the Salzburger Kunstverein actively supports exhibitions and projects featuring artists who contribute to the ongoing discourse in contemporary art.
Ocula, an established magazine shares Salzburger Kunstverein’s goal of supporting the best of contemporary art and art writing.
The residency is financially supported by Austria's Federal Ministry for Arts and Culture (BMKÖS).
