About Opportunity

The internationally recognized Lucie Foundation has announced a new art competition, Hidden Beauty, inviting photographers worldwide to participate and showcase their artworks. This year, all photography mediums are accepted, but submissions must align with the theme of "Hidden Beauty." The competition will spotlight the work of 40 selected photographers, whose images will be featured in an online exhibition. The international selection committee will choose the winners and award them with various cash prizes.

About Organizer

The Lucie Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to honoring master photographers, discovering and cultivating emerging talent, and promoting the appreciation of photography worldwide.
Established in 2003, the foundation presents year-round programming to support photographers. Its signature program, the Lucie Awards, is an annual gala ceremony that celebrates master photographers and their contributions to the field of photography. Other programs include photography membership, The Lucie Technical Awards (LTA), The Lucie Impact Awards, The Lucie Photo Book Prize, The Story Behind the Image, Open Calls, exhibitions, photographer talks, and workshops.

Eligibility:

  • Both emerging and professional photographers from all over the world can submit their images

Participation fee:

  • The submission fee is $20/per image

Award/prize: 

  • Grand prize for the winner - $1,000

  • Featured interview on the Lucie Foundation website

  • Part of Lucie Foundation Online Exhibition for competition

  • Cash prize - $250 for the each 3 category winners

Application requirements:

  • Online application form

  • CV/portfolio

  • Artist statement

  • Images (JPEG format)

  • Photographs description and title

  • There is no limit to the number of submissions
