About Opportunity

Participants will be able to study painting and watercolor methods from Mira O'Brien (founder and director of the Berlin Art Room), as well as learn about the fascinating world of mushrooms. Mira gathers fungus once a week in the fall when their reproductive bodies (fungi) emerge in awe-inspiring and diverse forms. Participants will use photographic instructions to create botanical-style watercolor drawings.

About Organizer

When American artist Mira O'Brien decided to conduct the first Drawing Workshop in her studio in 2011, the Berlin Drawing Room was born. Since then, the programs have grown to include a variety of workshops with a focus on drawing and painting. The studio continues to widen its horizons by collaborating with other institutions such as the Prinzessinnengarten and the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, as well as by hiring new artists.
