About Opportunity

The internationally recognized Lewisham Arthouse Graduate Award is accepting applications from recent graduates (between 2022-2025) across the globe, who are open to developing their interdisciplinary practice. Applicants should be familiar with Lewisham Arthouse and interested in collaboration, cultural production, and working within a studio or cooperative setting in London. The Graduate Award provides free studio space, mentorship, and production support for 12 months, including a £500 studio stipend, £1,000 for mentors, and £1,000 toward a final project. Graduates are expected to deliver one mid-way project or event in collaboration with members and a final presentation in the gallery or workshop space.

About Organizer

The Graduate Award, established in 2010, supports recent art school graduates struggling with the high costs of sustaining their practice in London. As an artist-led cooperative, the group dedicated one studio as a permanent free space for graduates and self-funded the project.

Lewisham Arthouse, an artist-run cooperative in South East London, brings together practitioners working across diverse disciplines from sculpture and painting to sound, textiles, and photography. It offers affordable studios, exhibitions, and workshops, encouraging graduates to engage with its dynamic, intergenerational community for support during their residency.
