About Opportunity

The internationally recognized organization Lee Ufan Arles invites artists working in various mediums to participate in its 2026 Art and Environment Residency Program, scheduled for 6 to 8 weeks between January and the end of March 2026. An international selection committee, chaired by Lee Ufan and composed of members from both organizations as well as invited guests, will select the resident artist, who will receive a grant of €2,000 per month. This residency offers the artist dedicated time and space to develop their project while fostering connections with key individuals and institutions involved in its realization, including artists, art professionals, local stakeholders, and the wider public. A mentor from the Lee Ufan Arles team will support the artist throughout the residency, facilitating valuable meetings with both local and international artists, curators, and cultural leaders. The program concludes with a summer exhibition of the artist’s work at one of the Lee Ufan Arles venues.

About Organizer

In 2023, Lee Ufan Arles partnered with Maison Guerlain to establish the Art & Environment Prize, an annual award recognizing a work of universal significance that reflects the philosophical depth of Lee Ufan’s practice. The prize’s environmental focus aligns with the values upheld by Maison Guerlain.
