About Opportunity

The internationally recognized organization, Jester, invites applications for its 2025-26 five-month Residency Program. Applicants must submit their portfolios, which will be reviewed by an international selection committee. Selected artists will receive a production budget to support their projects. The program is designed to help emerging, international visual artists expand their practice and explore new media. Residents will have access to state-of-the-art workshops specializing in wood, metal, ceramics, and digital media. The residency is divided into three phases: two months of pre-production, two months of on-site production at Jester, and one month of post-production. The selection process evaluates the artist’s connection to the social and historical context of Genk and the Euregion, their motivation to experiment with new media, and the urgency of their project proposal.
