About Opportunity

The international organization, Iznang Ceramics Market, announced the second edition of its 2024 ceramic art competition for young ceramic artists worldwide. This year's theme is “Contrasts”. All artworks created in any form of ceramic media are acceptable. The entries will be evaluated by an expert jury to determine the winner and select the best artist for ceramic artwork. The exhibition and award ceremony are scheduled for July 20th, 2024. The competition aims to inspire emerging ceramic artists to share their own ideas and become part of the ceramics community.

About Organizer

The Iznang Ceramics Market was first organized in 2022 in Germany. More than 70 selected exhibitors from nine European countries showcased impressive and wide-ranging ceramic art of the highest standard. Additionally, the organization annually provides a special prize for young artists - the International Young Talents’ Prize for Ceramics.

Eligibility:

  • All emerging ceramic or visual artists, designers, student artists, and university graduates (below the age of 38) from all over the world can apply for the award competition

Award/prize: 

  • Cash prize - €3,000

  • Free participation in the 2025 Iznang Ceramics Market.

Application requirements:

  • Online application form

  • CV/portfolio

  • Artist statement

  • Motivation letter

  • Artwork image (Two colour photos of their piece in high quality and resolution (300 dpi))

  • Artwork description (Price estimation)

  • The image submitted must be the sole and original work of the artist

  • Artists are self responsible for artwork’s transportation expenses
