About Opportunity
The internationally recognized organization Island Connect, in partnership with the Centre d'Investigació Escènica de Sineu, announces its 2025 open call for the Co-Creation Residency Program. This program invites international performing artists interested in exploring the themes of identity and insularity to develop their ideas through a co-creative residency. The residency will take place on the island of Mallorca from June 23 to 29, 2025. Applicants are expected to engage with themes such as insularity, islander identities, or the socio-political realities of islands, situating these within a broader European context. The aim is to draw comparisons and highlight both the shared challenges and unique experiences of diverse island regions involved in the project. An international jury will select one performing artist for the program. The chosen artist will receive funding for accommodation, access to an art workspace, and travel expenses.
