International Ceramics Symposium at Lopota Lake – Bird of Paradise 2025 is open for artists

The Lopota Lake Resort & Spa and White Studio are accepting applications for the fourth edition of the International Ceramics Symposium – Bird of Paradise 2025. This event will bring together Georgian and international artists from May 18 to June 1, providing a unique opportunity to create ceramic works at Lopota Lake, Georgia. Applicants are required to submit their portfolios along with draft projects or preliminary sketches of their proposed works. The artworks created during the symposium will be displayed on stone display platforms around the Lopota Lake area. The symposium’s primary material will be stoneware (chamotte). Selected artists will be provided with accommodation at Lopota Lake Resort & Spa, as well as a sightseeing tour of Kakheti during the event.

Lopota Lake Resort & Spa was founded in 2008. In 2022, the inaugural International Ceramic Park Sculpture Symposium was held at the resort in collaboration with the Georgian ceramic studio WHITE Studio. Following its success, the symposium has become an annual tradition and is now being held for the fourth consecutive year. In addition to the creation of sculptures, the symposium features artist workshops and masterclasses, offering guests a richer and more immersive experience.
