About Opportunity
The internationally recognized organization, Meinersen Artists' House, in partnership with Municipality of Meinersen, is accepting responses from international contemporary artists for a twelve-month residency scholarship at the Meinersen Artists' House in Germany, beginning on 1st October, 2024. Applicants are required to submit an artistic project proposal that connects to their own work and engages the local population through activities such as performances, public events, projects with schools, or teaching courses. The scholarship recipient will be selected by the artistic advisory board of the Artists' House and is expected to primarily reside and work at the Artists' House during the scholarship period.
About Organizer
The Meinersen Artists' House was founded in 1989 in Germany. Since then, it has hosted over 110 scholarship recipients who have created a variety of works, including paintings, sculptures, films, and performances.
The house was founded with the mission of providing a supportive environment for artists to develop their work and engage with the local community. The residency offers a unique opportunity for artists to focus on their creative projects while fostering cultural exchange and collaboration.
