About Opportunity

The trustworthy international cultural organization, ifa – Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen, in collaboration with the Berlin Art Institute (BAI), announces a call for submissions. This invitation is extended to international, dedicated professionals, artists or volunteers, to apply for the 2024 Cross Culture Fellowship Program in Berlin, Germany. Fellowships are primarily targeted at individuals employed in the following sectors: Policy and society, Media and culture, Human rights and peace, Sustainable development and climate justice, Circular economy, Gender and diversity. The program duration is 2-3 months and its main aim is to foster collaboration and exchange among professionals committed to making meaningful contributions in these critical areas. The selection committee will grant the most deserving candidates, providing them with stipends, accommodation, and covering travel expenses throughout the fellowship.

About Organizer

The Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (ifa) was founded in 1917 in Berlin and promotes cultural exchange for local and international artists to facilitate mutual learning and peaceful coexistence among peoples, nations, and religions.

Through the CrossCulture Programme (CCP) the institution financially supports professionals, dedicated artists and volunteers coming from 40 countries.

Eligibility:

  • All committed and professional artists or volunteers in the field of society, media, culture or human right, over the age of 23 from all over the world can participate in this fellowship program

Participation fee:

  • Participation is free


Award/prize: 

  • Workshops and trainings

  • Networking with other international CCP Fellows

  • Monthly stipend - €650 (for internationals)/ €1,200 (for German participants) 

  • Accommodation and travel expenses are funded from IFA

  • Health insurance
