About Opportunity
The Alison Richard Building (ARB) at the University of Cambridge, UK, is accepting applications for its upcoming art exhibition program. Artists and curators from around the world are invited to submit proposals to showcase their work. The ARB accommodates artworks compatible with its existing hanging rail system, plinths, or ground-floor display cabinets. Lightweight pieces may be mounted using Command Strips, though heavy objects, free-standing installations, or hanging sculptures cannot be displayed due to structural limitations. Two Mac screens are available for exhibiting video or film works, which can be placed anywhere in the building. An international selection committee will review all submissions and select an artist whose work will be exhibited for a four-week period.
About Organizer
The Alison Richard Building (ARB) was established in 2012 as part of the University of Cambridge to house interdisciplinary research in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. Its mission is to foster collaboration, dialogue, and public engagement through academic and cultural activities. The ARB hosts a regular exhibition program showcasing contemporary art, with a focus on global perspectives and critical themes. It invites artists, curators, and researchers to propose exhibitions that respond to its unique academic environment.
