About Opportunity
An art competition of the Landesinnung Baden-Württemberg for wood sculptors and the young talent wood sculptors on the theme of - CURIOUS ABOUT TOMORROW.
When the Landesinnung started thinking about the motto for the „European Design Award 2022“, no one had imagined that a pandemic would turn our lives upside down for so long. Despite restraint and renunciation, hopefully, we have learned to make the best of every day and to reconcile ourselves with the unexpected. The motto „CURIOUS ABOUT TOMORROW“ reflects this tension.
About Organizer
The organizer of the exhibition at Museum Rochsburg Castle is Mittelsächsische Kultur GmbH.
With this award the city of Lichtenstein/Sa. fulfils the legacy of an extraordinary woman and artist, who was born in Chemnitz in 1928, who remembered her Saxon roots until the end of her life. The jury of the city of Lichtenstein will decide on which exhibit to purchase.
