About Opportunity
The internationally renowned Gagliardi Gallery in London is accepting applications for the ninth edition of the Chianciano Art Biennale, taking place in Italy from 15 to 19 August 2026. Artists from around the world are invited to present their works and participate in a vibrant celebration of contemporary art that bridges cultural and geographical boundaries. Accepted artistic disciplines include, but are not limited to, works on canvas, board, paper, and other media; techniques such as oil, acrylic, collage, watercolor, printmaking, and mixed media; as well as photography, digital art (including AI-assisted works), video art, sculpture, fiber art, and installations. Approximately 200 artists will be selected to exhibit across thirteen historic venues, including the prestigious Chianciano Art Museum, fostering a dynamic dialogue between modern artistic expression and centuries-old architecture. All exhibited works will be reviewed and approved by the Chianciano Art Museum’s selection committee. Winners of the Chianciano Biennale will receive distinguished awards, monetary prizes, and automatic qualification for participation in the 2027 London Biennale.
About Organizer
Founded in 1978, the Gagliardi Gallery is dedicated to showcasing high-quality contemporary art and supporting both emerging and established artists while fostering cross-cultural artistic exchange. In 2009, the gallery expanded its vision by establishing the Chianciano Art Biennale in collaboration with the Museo d’Arte di Chianciano Terme in Tuscany. The Biennale was conceived as an inclusive platform for talented artists worldwide to present their work free from bias, uniting contemporary creativity with the region’s historic architecture and promoting dialogue between global art and cultural heritage.
