About Opportunity

The internationally recognized organization, Canon, has opened its application form for the 2024 Canon Student Development Programme, welcoming photographers from all over the world. Applicants are required to submit their CVs and portfolios, based on which selections will be made. One hundred participants will be selected and offered mentorship sessions focusing on refining their portfolios and developing new projects. These sessions will last from April 22nd to May 31st, 2024. Afterwards, a fair group will assess applicants, choosing around twenty-five photographers for a four-day workshop happening from August 31st to September 4th, 2024. The workshop will be held in Girona, Spain, and Perpignan, France, just before the Visa pour l’Image festival. At the end, three photographers will receive a €2,000 grant and a Canon product as recognition.

Eligibility:

  • Accommodation and travel expenses during the workshop period will be covered by the organizing entity

The submission closes:

Selected participants will be requested to submit the following documents, between 29 March - 7 April, 2024:

  • Confirmation of attendance to the program 

  • Image of the passport and/or ID card for the purposes of verifying age

  • Student ID and/or confirmation from the School/University (or agency/magazine internship) certifying the enrolment in the academic year 2023-2024
