Call for Submissions: The Hopper Prize 2025 is open to all emerging artists

The internationally recognized biannual Hopper Prize is accepting applications from artists and art practitioners for this year’s awards. Each year, the prize provides funding to 12 artists, with six recipients selected in the spring and six in the fall. Entries are welcome in all media, including painting, photography, sculpture, drawing, video, performance, conceptual and experimental works, installation, printmaking, new media, and textile art. Recipients are chosen by an international selection committee based on artistic merit, with funding awarded solely on the quality and excellence of the work.

The Hopper Prize was created to support visual artists by providing unrestricted financial grants, enhancing their visibility, and fostering connections within the art community. Established to increase recognition of artists’ work, the prize seeks to advance their careers through direct funding and exposure, validating and promoting the artistic endeavors of individuals committed to their practice. Since 2018, it has supported artists worldwide, across all media and career stages, from emerging to mid-career and established practitioners.
