About Opportunity

The internationally recognized New Emergence Art Prize 2025 is open for submissions from artists worldwide. Accepted media include, but are not limited to, painting, drawing, original prints, photography, sculpture, digital art, mixed media, video, sound, digital applications, and installations. An invited panel of jurors will review submissions, shortlist artists, and select the winners of cash prizes. All shortlisted artists will also be featured in the online gallery.

About Organizer

New Emergence Art, founded in 2020 by artist Habib Hajallie RBA, is an artist-led platform dedicated to supporting and showcasing underrepresented and emerging artists. Its mission is to provide financial assistance, visibility, and encouragement to artists through prizes and opportunities that help sustain their creative practice. By addressing historical gaps in representation, the organization aims to challenge conventional narratives and promote diversity within the art world.

Eligibility:

  • Both emerging and professional artists or art enthusiasts, individually or in collectives from across the globe can apply for this prize

Participation fee:

  • £15 – 1 artwork entry

  • £25 – 2 artwork entries

  • £30 – 3 artwork entries

Award/prize: 

  • New Emergence Art Prize – Winner: £1,000

  • NG Art Creative Residency – Emerging Artist Award: A two-week artist residency in Provence, France 

  • The Staedtler Award: Staedtler products with a total value of over £360

  • The Daler-Rowney Prize: £250 worth of Daler-Rowney art materials

  • The New Emergence Art – Founder’s Prize: £150

  • The GreatArt Prize: £75 worth of GreatArt art materials
