About Opportunity

The internationally recognized Fotofestiwal Open Program offers artists the opportunity to showcase their work at the International Festival of Photography in June 2026 in Łódź, Poland. Welcoming submissions without restrictions on theme, the program aims to identify artists whose projects demonstrate both distinctiveness and a forward-thinking, experimental vision within the field of photography. An international jury of experts from leading media and photographic institutions, together with Fotofestiwal curators, will select six artists whose projects will be exhibited during the festival, with each receiving a €1,000 grant.

About Organizer

Founded in 2001 as one of Poland’s first photography events, Fotofestiwal has since developed into one of Europe’s leading photography festivals. Despite its growth and international recognition, the festival has remained true to its mission of showcasing photography in diverse forms, including exhibitions, films, projections, and workshops.

Each year, one artist is nominated for the FUTURES program, a Europe-wide platform supporting emerging photographers, and one project is selected for publication in Pismo, an independent monthly magazine featuring journalism, literature, and visual arts.
