About Opportunity
The internationally recognized organization KIKK Galaxy, which promotes digital and creative cultures at the intersection of art, science, technology, and society, along with its Creative Hub, TRAKK, and the Antoine Thomas Astronomical Observatory of the University of Namur, is launching the Arts and Sciences Residency Program focused on astronomy. This program is open to two visual artists or art collectives (one international and one from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation). Artists will receive a €5,000 grant to develop a new media art or art and science project on astronomy, with curatorial and scientific support. Using AI, expanded light spectrum analysis, sound, and data-driven visuals, artists are required to create immersive experiences and innovative projects. Artists will engage with astrophysicists and researchers to explore new ways of visualizing and questioning the universe.
