About Opportunity

The internationally recognized Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers (RE) is inviting applications for a two-year student membership, accompanied by a £1,000 award from the Gwen May Trust. This opportunity is open to two recent printmaking graduates (who have graduated in 2025). Throughout the membership period, applicants will have access to participate in RE exhibitions across both national and international platforms. The international selection committee will review applicants’ personal portfolios and printmaking works, selecting two winners based on the following criteria: creativity, technical mastery, attention to detail, and the originality of the theme or artistic concept.

About Organizer

Royal Society of Painter‑Printmakers (RE) was founded in 1880 by Francis Seymour Haden with the goal of establishing original etching and printmaking as independent fine-art forms rather than mere reproduction techniques.
Its mission remains to promote original printmaking, widen public understanding of the print medium, and provide professional opportunities for practising printmakers.
