Call for Submission: Runway AI Film Festival is open for all

The internationally recognized Runway AI Film Festival (AIFF) 2025 is accepting submissions for its third annual edition, welcoming both individual filmmakers and collectives from around the world. While this year’s festival does not have a specific theme, all films must incorporate AI-generated content using tools such as Runway’s Gen-3 Alpha, Gen-3 Alpha Turbo, Gen-2, or Gen-1. An esteemed panel of jurors will evaluate submissions based on overall film composition, the coherence of the narrative and artistic message, originality, and the integration of AI techniques. A total of ten finalists will be selected and presented at gala screenings in New York City and Los Angeles, where they will also receive cash prizes.

Runway AI was founded in 2018 by Cristóbal Valenzuela, Anastasis Germanidis, and Alejandro Matamala. The company specializes in generative artificial intelligence, focusing on developing innovative tools that enable the creation of videos, images, and other multimedia content. 
Founded in 2022, the AI Film Festival (AIFF) celebrates filmmakers who embrace new and emerging AI tools in their creative process. This year’s festival is presented in collaboration with Tribeca Festival, IMAX, The Gotham, .monks, NVIDIA, Goldman Sachs, and the American Cinema Editors.
