About Opportunity

The internationally recognized organization Animatou is accepting applications for the 20th edition of its Short Film Festival. While this year’s festival has no specific theme, only films released in 2024 or 2025 will be eligible for selection. Taking place in Geneva, Switzerland, from October 2 to 11, 2025, the event will bring together filmmakers from around the world. An international and local selection committee will evaluate submissions across various categories, with the best films receiving prestigious awards and cash prizes.

About Organizer

Cinématou was founded in 2006 by two passionate enthusiasts of animated cinema, the Animatou Association is committed to promoting Swiss and international animated films. It aims to introduce audiences to the artistic and narrative richness of animated short films while highlighting the vast array of techniques used in the genre. Additionally, the association supports emerging creators and small productions by providing greater visibility to first works that often struggle to find distribution opportunities.
