About Opportunity
Granada City of Literature UNESCO, a member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN), in partnership with the Department of Culture of the City of Granada and the University of Granada, is launching a new edition of its International Writers’ Residency Program for both emerging and professional writers, who have already published at least two books (novel, essay, poetry, etc.), excluding self-publishing. This program aims to enhance international cooperation in the cultural sector and to foster connections and collaborations between literary authors from Granada and around the world. Writers should use the time of the residency to carry out their literary projects and participate in activities related to the local literary system proposed by the program. An international jury, composed of experts proposed by Granada City of Literature UNESCO and the University of Granada, will select two writers and provide them with accommodation for the whole duration of the residency program.
