About Opportunity

The internationally recognized institute Malý Berlín, in collaboration with Fabrika, is inviting Georgian artists working in visual art, fine art, conceptual art, sculpture, and painting to participate in its 2024 three-month Artists in Residency Program in Trnava, Slovakia. Throughout the residency program, artists are required to present their work to a local artistic audience and to develop a final public presentation of their work and activities (such as a lecture, workshop, artist talk, or exhibition) at the end of the residency. The international selection committee will choose the artists and provide them with accommodation and a working art studio for the duration of the residency.

About Organizer

Malý Berlín is an independent cultural centre, founded in 2006 in Trnava, Slovakia. It features two event spaces that host over 300 cultural and educational events annually. The center is also a member of the Trans Europe Halles networ

Eligibility:

  • Both emerging and professional visual or fine artists working or based in Georgia can participate in this residency program 


Project/event location:

  • Trnava, Slovakia 


Participation fee:

  • Participation is free


Award/prize: 

  • Accomodation

  • Working art studio

  • Artist stipend - €500/ per month

  • Production expenses up to €200 are covered by the organization

  • Travel expenses up to €400 are covered by the organization 

  • Curatorial and PR support
