About Opportunity
The internationally recognized organization, Artists Association of Nantucket (AAN), is currently accepting applications from all ceramic and visual artists for its 2024 Artists-in-Residency Program. This year, the Residency Program is funded by the Eric Donohue family to support a five-week residency for a ceramic artist to teach two five-week classes during the fall session (which begins in mid-October). This period will be dedicated to the facilitation of two comprehensive five-week classes, where participants will have the privilege of sharing their expertise with fellow ceramicists and students on the island. Moreover, artists will extend their artistic influence by delivering an annual free Healing in the Arts class, catering to the wider community and fostering creativity and healing. Ceramic artists will have the opportunity to work in the studio to produce their own artwork, engage with fellow ceramists at AAN, and present and/or exhibit their artworks at the VAC with a 65/35 commission structure.
About Organizer
The Artists Association of Nantucket (AAN) was founded in the 1920s-30s by local artists with the aim of supporting and promoting the visual arts and artists on Nantucket Island through exhibitions, workshops, and community engagement.
