About Opportunity

The internationally recognized Art Hub Copenhagen, in collaboration with the Collaborative Research Centre ISOQUANT at Heidelberg University and the Niels Bohr Institute at the University of Copenhagen, invites artists to apply for a six-month residency exchange program connecting artists and quantum physicists. The program begins in fall 2025 and consists of a six-month residency followed by a six-month follow-up phase, including curatorial guidance and exhibition preparation. Artists will primarily work at either Art Hub Copenhagen or Heidelberg University, spending three months at each location. The residency fosters creative dialogue between artists and leading quantum physics researchers, encouraging cross-disciplinary collaboration that generates new insights for both fields. Whenever possible, artists should engage with other residents at Art Hub Copenhagen and participate in collaborative activities. They are also encouraged to join transdisciplinary workshops with scientists, facilitated by Art Hub Copenhagen and Heidelberg University. Throughout the residency, artists will meet regularly with Jacob Lillemose (Project Manager, Art Hub Copenhagen) and Dr. Lisa Ringena (Project Manager, CRC ISOQUANT, Heidelberg) to discuss their progress.
