About Opportunity

An UK-based art organization, has launched the 4th edition of Wales Contemporary/Cymru Gyfoes, an international art competition. Artists from all over the world are invited to submit works in 2D and 3D mediums such as painting, sculpture, drawing, print, ceramic, glass, textile, collage, and mixed media. However, photography, digital prints, and film are not allowed. Ashley Hall, Janette Kerr, and Mehdi Moazzen, invited judges, will select the best artworks from submissions, which will be for sale, and artists will be awarded prestigious prizes.

About Organizer

WaterFront Gallery was founded in 2005 in the UK with the focus on fine arts, photography and 3D artworks.
In early 2019 the gallery successfully submitted a bid for European Funding for a very exciting project called "Inspired by Wales". The project included International art competitions titled "Wales Contemporary/Cymru Gyfoes".

Eligibility:

  • International artists from all disciplines, over the age of 18 can participate

Participation fee:

  • Artworks submission fee is £15/1 work, £25/2 works, £30/3 works

Award/prize: 

  • Total prize - £12 000

  • Artworks for sale (30% commission)

Selected artists will be announced:
