About Opportunity

The internationally recognized Material Works Art Award 2025 is accepting applications from artists worldwide working in painting, photography, installation, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, mixed-media, experimental, and conceptual art. Please note that submissions in music, writing/poetry, and time-based media are not being accepted at this time. The Material Works Art Award is dedicated to recognizing artistic excellence and advancing the careers of contemporary visual artists by providing greater visibility, exposure, and professional support. From the pool of applicants, five artists will be shortlisted based on the merit of their submitted portfolios. Among the shortlisted artists, one awardee will be selected to receive a one-time grant of $2,500. In exchange, the recipient will provide an original artwork of comparable monetary value. This artwork will be mutually agreed upon with the artist and will become part of the Material Works Art contemporary collection, serving as both recognition of creative achievement and a lasting contribution to the platform’s mission of supporting artistic innovation.
