About Opportunity

The internationally recognized organization A Tale of A Tub is introducing its first annual Art Residency Program, open to Rotterdam-based artists. This residency offers support to individual artists or collectives in developing a project, while encouraging fresh ways of interacting with and activating the space. Although the work doesn’t have to directly engage with the location, priority will be given to practices that are intersectional, context-driven, or address social, material, or institutional questions. Applications will be evaluated by an international curatorial team, consisting of Isabelle Sully (artistic director), Lisanne Janssen (education curator), and Amy Jones, former curator at Chisenhale Gallery, London. The selected artist or collective will take part in the two-month residency from September 1 to November 2, 2025.

About Organizer

A Tale of A Tub is a contemporary art institution (non for profit organization) founded in 2014 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. It focuses on producing intersectional and context-sensitive art projects. Through exhibitions, events, and publications, the organization supports artistic practices that engage with social, ecological, and material issues while fostering dialogue with the local community.
